I was recently contacted by Wendy, who enquired about a photoshoot as a birthday present for her friend, Rebecca.
Wendy, Rebecca and Yolanda are all nurses whose friendship blossomed at work. They have been friends for a few years, so when Rebecca’s 30th (!) birthday was coming up, Wendy found my website and contacted me. She thought that a casual informal shoot was best for them – a shoot to document their friendship and get some lovely shots to keep.
Here is what we came up with. We all thought they were lovely! Don’t you?
If you too would like to give the gift of a photoshoot to a friend or family member to celebrate a special occasion or just cause you love them, give me a call or contact me via the Contact form above!
This shoot was a long time coming! With all the recent rain in Sydney, we had to reschedule a few times. On the day of our third reschedule, the morning started out pretty cloudy and all thoughts turned to, ‘here we go again!’. The sun came out just after lunch and it turned pretty warm. Perfect! But alas, our joy was short-lived. Although it did not rain, by late afternoon, the clouds had rolled in again, so I had to revert back to style number two for the shoot.
Instead of beautiful late afternoon sun and the golden tones they produce, Mercedes’ natural beauty shone in the shade of the clouds! I must say, although the shoot did not go as I had envisioned, we were all very happy with the results!
Thanks Mercedes! You would look gorgeous in any light.
It was cold, wet and windy. Definitely not ideal conditions for a photo shoot on rocks overlooking the Pacific ocean! After numerous phone calls and umming and arring, we decided to go ahead.
As the photographer, I was fine! Nice and warm and cosy in my wind jacket, but for Candace and Bree, my models, well they were much braver than I! Although the rain had stopped, the wind coming off the ocean was wild and rather icy! But after a little while, and a few star jumps to warm up, the girls skin became numb and they couldn’t feel a thing!
The whole time, they did not complain and it was actually quite an experience trying to get some good shots, in between teeth-chattering and gathering clumps of hair out of mouths! Lucky for me their shots are gorgeous!
We had lots of fun and the hot chocolate after the shoot made it all worthwhile! Thanks ladies for your fantastic company, humouring me and going above and beyond!
